Thermosets offer significant advantages over other materials due to their unique chemical structure. Unlike many other plastics, the molecules of a thermoset form bonds between each other in a process called crosslinking. Once crosslinked, thermoset plastics will not re-melt or substantially soften as temperature is increased. This characteristic leads to outstanding performance in the following areas:
  • DIMENSIONAL STABILITY
  • COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH
  • CREEP RESISTANCE
  • HARDNESS
  • HIGH STRENGTH
  • HIGH TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE
  • HIGH STIFFNESS
  • CLOSE TOLERANCES
  • SURFACE FINISH
  • CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
